Blue Man Group

So, in the middle of the night, I decided to try to hunt down some BMG videos on YouTube.com for lack of something better to do. Here are the results:

  • Award Show performance:

  • Mix from concert:

  • BMG's take on Global Warming Awareness (everyone has one):

  • Performance with Moby and Jill Scott:

Okay, so the band doesn't get much play and I am not a Scott fan, but I love the entire Moby Play album so it's here anyway...

Well, I hope you enjoyed. And if by any chance you (my oh-so-friendly reader) decide to donate to PBS and get their concert video as your pledge gift, well, you better hook me up....

Holla!

A tribute to Sim City...

People, at first I found this song annoyed me, but I kept watching the video for the the video itself. Alas, the whole thing grew on me, and I decided to feature it here. It makes me want to play Sim City and put the settings on Gozilla. Build it up and watch some huge thing in the middle tear it down. Though in all truth, I never could build this fast without running out of money or using some sort of cheat. Let's face it, taxing the people results the worst city rating so freaking fast. This makes me want to play Mall Tycoon. Yes, alright, I play mall tycoon occasionally thanks to my brother and his addiction to comp games. Well, so what if tycoon games aren't WOW. Whatever....

Without further delay, for your viewing pleasure:

A word to the wise...

So, dear friends, ask yourself this:

When was the last time I cleaned my computer?

Okay, so I know you are thinking,

I keep my comp files pretty organized and desktop neat and simple. I remove all temp files and remove bogus trial software programs when needed.

And while that is all great, it isn't what I am talking about just yet. When was the last time you opened up your comp and checked for dust? When was the last time you looked at your laptop and made sure the fan was working? Let's be honest. If you can't remember the last time you did these things, you should do so right now. Nothing feels better than busting out some Q-tips and extending the life of your comp. I confess I was shocked by the amount of dust layered thoughout my PC. I can safely say that the fan was working after seeing the dust buildup and that my comp had plenty of room to suck in the dirty air. I don't know how much this small task of cleaning will mean in the overall picture, but it is nice to know my comp will run a little quieter and cooler for a while. As for my hard drive, I was able to remove about 27G of video content that I already had on dvd or that was available for rental/purchase. For example, removing season 2 of grey's when I already own it in a better format helped my memory problem. I was also able to gain another 3G by removing unused trial software, deleting pointless shortcuts, unistalling needless programs, and clearing out file duplicates.

It is time to check your computer and see how you fair. So, just follow these steps; it will be fun.:

  • Dust your computer, in and out.
  • Empty your recycle bin. It adds up if you are a media junkie.
  • Check your add/remove programs list in your control panel.
  • Organize your media. With hundreds/thousands of files for photos, music, and video, it is easy to have multiple copies when your files aren't labled well or you are going overboard on your desktop.
  • Ask yourself how many shortcuts do you need on your desktop or toolbar.
  • Check your security software and don't cancel every scan because it slows down what you are doing.
  • Make sure you are backing up files that are important. External hard drives don't seem that expensive anymore, do they...

I hope this entry proved to help a little. Either with your comp or to serve as a pat on the back for a job already completed. Cleaning your PC of dust and clutter can prove to make computing a bit more relaxing and easy. And any help you can provide for its health, has to be good, right?

I will catch up with you guys soon. Check back. Holla!!

New Music Favorites

I am listening to a softer side of music now. Soundtracks and new artists are invading my dell dj more than ever. Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Jack Johnson, Augustana, Snow Patrol, etc are great. Soundtracks from Chronicles of Narnia, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Pride and Prejudice are so peaceful. While I may not be able to promise you will like any of them, I recommend that you always try new music. That you seek out something that touches you and that you can associate with memories and feelings from your own live.

Everyone has their own soundtrack to his life and in his head. The best part is this person has the chance to arrange it accordingly.

Much love.

Oh and I realize that I seem to be writing in phrases more than ever. To all past English teachers out there, I am sorry.

My Collections of Sky Images

I am always taking pictures of the sky. So many types of clouds, so many colors. Something you just want to reach out and touch just once.

The majority of these images can be found thoughout the last year's posts.

It's time to get back over here.

I wanted to begin my return by relocating the majority of my myspace content here. Why? Because myspace bores me now, and this blogger acct is more my thing. Always something new and fresh at the top. Comment on every item. Much less spam and few ads. So, I am glad to be back. Once I move everything over, I will add some new photos, reviews, and previews.

This is a small sample of my work as a florist. It was an experience that I may never have again. I hope my work was good enough... Tell me what you think.
